Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at Montusi after lunch
Short warm up ride around Montusi on the Drakensberg Trails Single Track. The route takes in the scenic single track around the Lodge keeping on the more gentle gradients to loosen up the legs after a morning of driving.
The rides end at the Montusi Dam for Sundowners, followed by a leisurely dinner together at the Lodge

Day 2
A hearty breakfast followed by a half day ride on Drakensberg Trails. Route is tailored to riders’ requirements. 20-40kms of spectacular trails with breath taking views of the Drakensberg’s Amphitheatre.
Lunch served on return
Afternoon at leisure – Time to enjoy a stroll in the mountains, relax by the pool, or just soak in the views from the veranda of the garden suite.
Dinner at the Lodge
Day 3
Early breakfast and check out of Montusi.
Then depart for the 80km cycle to Three Tree Hill.
Vehicle transfer to the top of Oliviershoek Pass to the start of the District Road route.
The route then meanders along scenic district roads and dirt tracks over the mountains towards Bergville, with a short stretch on the tar near the end of the route.
Day 4
Day at Three Tree Hill – cycle, horse ride, hike, book a Battle Fields Tour or relax in the Molly Blackburn Library or at the pool with a gin and tonic from the gin bar.
Day 5
Depart from Three Tree Hill after breakfast via shuttle service to Montusi Mountain Lodge.
